TAYLOR WINS 3 MTV EMA AWARDS“Taylor Swift has triumphed at the MTV Europe Music Awards,” writes The Guardian (U.K.), and was “the night’s big winner” (Telegraph, U.K.), taking home three top honors from last night’s show in Frankfurt, Germany: Best Female Act, Best Live Act, and Best Look. Over 184 million people voted for the awards.
Taylor “ruled over her first-ever appearance at the EMAs,” (Billboard), and “owned the night’s circus theme…..turning her hit ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ into a big-top spectacle….dazzling….a phenomenal finale.” (MTV News). Taylor, who first toured in Europe last year, told the crowd when accepting her awards, “Thank you for giving us another reason to come back!” Taylor’s big night at the EMAs capped a week in Europe that included stops in London and France for promotional appearances in support of her blockbuster new album RED. RED is currently on track to hold for a third consecutive week at the #1 position atop Billboard’s 200 top albums chart, with U.S. sales exceeding 1.5 million albums in the album’s first two weeks. RED scored music’s highest first-week sales number in more than a decade and reached #1 on the iTunes sales charts in 42 countries. Check out Taylor's performance below! posted on November 11, 2012
